B-12 · IDIS Setup

Book B — Agency Administrator Guide · draft v1 (2026-08-29)

Where: Settings ▸ Program Terms ▸ IDIS Codes (opens IDIS Program Codes); City Info (Federal EIN); Report Center presets. Detail spec: HousingOS_IDIS_Field_Mapping_Spec.pdf / HousingOS_IDIS_Deployment.pdf in Claude Manuals.

What to set once

  1. Federal EIN on City Info (grantee identification on the export).
  2. IDIS Program Codes — one row per program type plus the * catch-all: matrix code (e.g. 14A single-unit rehab), national objective (LMH), accomplishment type, HOME tenure and assistance method where HOME applies. Sync adds a row for any program that lacks one ("Every program already has a row." when complete). Edits show on the next sheet Refresh.
  3. Funding sources carry the CDBG/HOME distinction the sheet uses (▸ B-5).
  4. Report Center presets IDIS Export – CDBG and – HOME are shipped; users load them under Build Your Own Report ▸ Load Report (▸ C-21/C-22).

What users must fill

The entry sheet's Fix in HousingOS before keying IDIS list (▸ C-22) tells them; the recurring ones are race/ethnicity and household type (DATA TRACKING), the four IDIS ticks on Project Management, and after-rehab value. The IDIS Project ID / Activity ID boxes on the sheet store IDIS's own numbers after setup.

Watch-outs

  • Amber (derived) values on the sheet mean HousingOS inferred something (household type from relationships, alternate-funding category) — check the defaults in Program Codes if they're consistently wrong.
  • New program → run Sync before the first sheet, or it falls back to the * row.
  • "IdisProgramCodes is not linked in this front-end" = an old front end; update HousingOS (▸ B-2).
